Letter from the President of Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative

The Northeast Suicide Prevention Initiative is comprised of all volunteers from local agencies and survivors who have lost someone to suicide, all working specifically towards suicide prevention in Lackawanna and surrounding counties. The goal of NSPI is to stop suicides by utilizing partnerships to support person struggling with suicidal thoughts and their families and those survivors that are left behind. NSPI believes that suicide can be defeated when our community members are unafraid to ask for help and by these members having access to high quality, culturally competent, resources that are ready to respond. The core actions and focus of NSPI’s funds will be used to support the healing of those affected by suicide and to provide trainings consistent with research and clinical interventions that directly address suicide assessment, treatment, and management, and that promote recovery and resilience.

NSPI is an approved Pennsylvania Non-profit 501 (c) (3) whose only funds come from your donations.
